In March, Del Hall of Cincinnati wanted to go on a diet. So he vowed to live off beer, committing to the liquid diet for 46 days. Hall, who works in a craft brewpub, lost 44 pounds during the fast. He said he was constantly monitored by a doctor to make sure his health was fine. My kind of diet!!
Kraft has launched a $50,000 Mother’s Day promotion where they are paying up to $100 for a babysitter so mothers can enjoy some ‘me time’ on Sunday. “Mother’s Day Away” will reimburse mothers for baby sitters and other child care services. Mothers can obtain the money by submitting a receipt to Kraft’s website. Kraft will pay out until their $50,000 is gone. Whoever came up with that idea deserves a medal!
How is this for being in the right place at the right time? Dinners at a Brooklyn restaurant spotted Neil Diamond and his wife having dinner a couple of tables away but instead of being a nudge Neil Diamond lead a sing a-long of Sweet Caroline with the patrons after dinner. How cool is that?!
