Yesterday, Washington became the first state in the U.S. to legalize human composting. Under the new law, residents there can now choose to have their body turned into soil after they die. At the end of the composting, loved ones are then given the soil, which they can use to plant flowers, vegetables or trees. I don’t know about this — personally I would have a hard time biting into a tomato grown in Uncle Jimmy’s soil.
