Some unusual things happened musically on both coasts over the weekend. First, the blackout in NYC shut down the Jay Lo concert at the garden. That show will be made up tonight. Also, Ringo Starr joined Paul McCartney on stage during his Dodger Stadium show Saturday night as well – check out the video.

Metallica has announced that they’re coming up with a children’s book! No joke! The heavy metal masters of puppets named the book The ABC’s of Metallica and each letter of the alphabet will tell a story of the bands journey from garage band to stardom. Proceeds with go to Metallica’s charity… All with My Hands which deals with education and hunger. Look for the book to hit shelves in November. Read more, here.
