Beginning Wednesday, August 14th

Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) is offering online courses for youth ages 14-17, May 15, June 19, July 17, and August 14, from the comfort of your own home.
 
Each course lasts six weeks and includes lessons, assignments, quizzes, a final exam, and the opportunity for discussion in chat rooms. Suggested courses include 12 steps to a successful job search, grammar refresher, writing for children, start a pet-sitting business, lose weight and keep it off, and instant Italian. A certificate of completion will be issued after completion of the course.

IronPigs Jersey Auction/Raffle to
Benefit Third Street Alliance
Coca-Cola Park

Come out to enjoy the IronPigs baseball game at Coca-Cola Park on Monday, August 19th, and take a chance on the special team jersey raffle and auction to benefit Third Street Alliance for Women and Children of Easton. You can bid by text or by phone, or text to bid from any location!  IronPigs players and coaches wear special themed jerseys which are then auctioned off during that night's game. Winners have the opportunity to meet the player of their jersey on the field after the game. Proceeds from the jersey auction are shared by the Alliance and IronPigs Charities. One autographed jersey will also be raffled off at the game, with proceeds to Third Street Alliance.

How to Participate:

For the Raffle:
Visit a raffle table at the ballpark on August 19th to buy tickets to win a team-autographed jersey.

For the Auction: 
Bidding begins Sunday August 18th at 6:35 pm.

Text Bidding: You’ll be texting your bids to number 79230
1. Register your phone to prepare to bid. Text Pigs to 79230. After receiving a return text, respond with your first and last name.
2. Place your bid. Minimum $100. Text the item ID (9 + the 2-digit jersey number) followed by your bid amount. (Example: To bid $100 on Tyler Cloyd’s jersey, just text 924 100 to 79230)  Automatic bidding is also available where you can set a maximum bid amount.
3. Keep bidding. You’ll receive a text notification if you are outbid. Reply with your new increased bid. You’ll receive a text if you win.

Bid by phone:
1. Register your phone at the Fan Services booth located behind section 107 at the park.
2. Place your bid by calling 1-855-543-7555. You will be prompted through the process.

The auction closes at the end of the 7th inning of the game on August 19th.
Winners will have the opportunity to go on the field to get their jersey autographed.
Auction winners not present can either arrange to pick up their jersey or have it mailed.

2013 Epic Responder Rally
Feal Good Foundation

Saturday, August 24th, 2013 from 11am to 8pm

Since 2008, the Feal Good Foundation has distributed over $1.5 million dollars providing injured first fesponders with financial assistance, but their dedication does not stop there. The 2013 Epic Responder Rally will be on Saturday, August 24 from 11am to 8pm. It begins with a Poker Run followed by a Pig Roast and Picnic with live music and a vendor area.

The main event will be held at the grove behind the Landslide Saloon, on Route 173 in Asbury, NJ. (Located right off of route 78 in Hunterdon County NJ)

The Pig Roast is $25.00 per person but children under 12 are free. The Poker Run is $10.00 for the first hand and $5.00 Each additional hand. Please note: all Poker Run fees are in addition to Pig Roast entrance fees.

On site registration is from 11am to 12:30 pm at the Landslide Saloon. The Poker Run will last approximately 1.5 hours. The chosen course will take the rider around a 52.5 mile loop through Hunterdon and southern Warren Counties. The run begins and ends at the Landslide Saloon in Asbury NJ. This scenic tour will provide a variety of sights and experiences for the motorcycling enthusiasts through beautiful horse country on quiet and open country roads, up twisting and winding, mountain back roads, around lakes and through quaint country towns.
