Silent Auction Rules

SILENT AUCTION RULES

10.1        A silent auction will be conducted during all bike nights. There will be a variety of items each bike night.

10.2       All items in the Silent Auction have bid sheets on the display table near them with a title that includes “item name and number” clearly printed at the top of each bid sheet.

10.3       To make a bid for a Silent Auction item, simply write your name, phone number and email address and the amount you wish to bid. Please ensure your contact information is correct and neatly written. Connoisseur Media will not be held responsible if the bidder cannot be contacted due to incorrect or illegible phone and/or email information.

10.4        Each subsequent bid must be a higher amount than the previous bid, and satisfy the minimum raise to be considered a “valid” entry. You may exceed the minimum raise amount. Bids must be in whole dollar increments. Any item over $100, minimum dollar increment is $5.

10.5       You may bid on any and all items until the auction is closed.

10.6       All sales are final. There are no exchanges or refunds unless otherwise noted.

10.7       All items are “as is.” Bike Night officials have attempted to describe items correctly based on the information provided by donors. Bidders will be expected to read fine print included with bid sheets for any restrictions, exclusions, etc.

10.8       The value listed is an estimate of fair market value. Items have not been appraised unless noted. The amount you pay above this fair market value estimate is normally tax deductible as a charitable contribution. Please consult your tax advisor to clarify amount of deduction.

10.9       Payment for items purchased must be made in full on the night of the auction. Cash will be accepted, or check payable to Ronald McDonald Camp. All checks must clear before receiving the auction item.   All payments by check must be received by the following Friday after auction. If not, item will be placed back on auction in the next Bike Night event.

10.10 Each person bidding assumes all responsibilities related to the auction and items obtained at the auction and agrees to hold Bike Night sponsors harmless from any liability.

10.11 In the event of a dispute, the Auction Representatives will act as final authority.

10.12 Invoices will be prepared after the closing of the Silent Auction. This process is expected to take 1 to 5 days. Please be patient! If the initial declared winner refuses to follow through with the silent auction bid, the second highest bidder will be contacted for prize awarding.

10.13 If an auction item is not paid within 7 days, that item may be placed back on the auction table.
