Kara Curry

Kara Curry is the Mid-day personality for the Hawk.

Many people have asked Kara about how she got her start, but very few have actually learned, as she is very secretive... Through the wonders of the Internet and pictures we have found from embarrassing Christmas parties, this short history was assembled.

Kara Curry got her start as a groupie, following bands of all kinds from bar to bar (although that may have been due to the happy hour specials.) As time went on, Kara developed a true love of Classic Hits after years of live concerts, browsing record stores and listening to rock radio from the back seats of cars.

Kara put that knowledge to work upon joining The Hawk in the Fall of 2001 and becoming Music Director in 2005.

Kara’s favorite part of working at the Hawk is the Free Friday Feast given out as part of the Back to Work Perk. It gives her an excuse to get out of the office early on Fridays and gives her the chance to meet some amazing people and local businesses.
