Valerie Bertinelli gets emotional addressing Eddie Van Halen’s death: ‘It’s been very rough’

Valerie Bertinelli is opening up about the death of ex-husband Eddie Van Halen. 

The “Valerie’s Home Cooking” star, 60, got visibly emotional when discussing how she’s been coping since the legendary guitarist’s death. Van Halen, famed for hit songs “Jump” and “Hot for Teacher,” died of cancer at age 65 on Oct. 6.

“I don’t know why I’m tearing up,” Bertinelli said while appearing on Monday’s “Today” show.  “It’s been rough.”

Bertinelli, who shares a son Wolfgang, 29, with Van Halen, said that she and her son are “doing OK” despite their grief.

“We spent the holidays together. I’ll see him later today. We’ve been spending a lot of time together,” she said. READ FULL STORY
